Photos of the National Wild Turkey Federation Rig
Details:
Very similar to the NRA rig, this is another never to be reproduced, this rig was hand built using #1 grade, 10oz cow hide for the outer skin, and 3oz cowhide lining. Both hides were tanned in St. Louis, MO by the 4th generation owned Herman Oak Tannery.
The rig has a hand tooled basket weave design with a star burst border. It is hand dyed dark brown with a brown tan kote satin finish. The brown antique finished lining is glued and double stitched to the outer skin. All edges are hand slicked with a tough brown edge kote finish.
The ranger belt fits a 42" to 47" waist with the holsters fitting a 5 1/2" Ruger New Vaquerro. There are 20 shell loops 7/8" wide to accommodate .45 caliber ammo.
The hand made buckle and conchos are the work of Roy Stokes. They are attached by screws with lock tight and are hidden between the two pieces of leather. The brown stitching on the shell loops, buckle billet, and tongue are also hidden. The loop on the holster also has hidden screws, lined, and double stitched. This piece sold for $900.00.
More picture libraries are on the way but pictures only tell so much. The heart and the soul of clients tell the rest.
