Rose of Marty O. Rig
Details:
"The Rose Of Marty O." is a one-of-a-kind rig with an original Marty O. design hand-cut and hand-tooled. Mike Beliveau, writer for "Guns Of The Old West" magazine, is the proud owner of this rig and will be writing about it in an upcoming issue. The belt and holsters were created using USA tanned, 10-ounce leather for the main body and 4-ounce leather for the lining. The belt is accented by a hand-carved silver buckle and conchos with a gold rope border and Mike's initials (MB) in gold. Roy Stokes, owner of Coast Silver, always does a beautiful job with the silver on my one-of-a-kind projects. The double stitches on the buckle billet, tung and peek-a-boo shell loops are hidden between the lining and main body of the belt, along with the stitches that hold the back flap of the holsters. The hand-dyed dark background really makes the carving pop and catches the eye. In the back of the belt I carved Mike's initials (MB) again to personalize this piece of artwork for him. Everything is glued and double-stitched, including the holsters which are hand-stitched closed. All edges are hand- slicked with a dark brown edge kote applied for a long-lasting, durable finish. This rig rates as one of the best ever to leave this shop.
More picture libraries are on the way but pictures only tell so much. The heart and the soul of clients tell the rest.
